The Broadway-hit musical Aladdin, already attracted some ten million people worldwide since its conception in the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York 2014, is coming to its final location in Southeast Asia, Singapore.
Hailed by the magazine Arts Hub as ‘the most extraordinary spectacle in musical theatre history,’ this is definitely a unique opportunity for all Disney’s fans. Aladdin the Musical will be staged at Sands Theatre inside Singapore Marina Bay Sands Hotel complex. As for the technical aspect, there are 40 tonnes of exotic flying scenery and 60 tonnes of automation and staging equipment currently on their way to the City State on over 40 sea containers to bring the fantasy city of Agrabah, the colourful marketplace, the Sultan’s lush palace and the Cave of Wonders to life. The musical offers at least 84 amazing special effects during the two-and-a-half-hour performance to bring magical experience to the audience.
