Experience a Disney’s magic carpet ride in Singapore

The Broadway-hit musical Aladdin, already attracted some ten million people worldwide since its conception in the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York 2014, is coming to its final location in Southeast Asia, Singapore.

Aladdin Musical, genie scene

Hailed by the magazine Arts Hub as ‘the most extraordinary spectacle in musical theatre history,’ this is definitely a unique opportunity for all Disney’s fans. Aladdin the Musical will be staged at Sands Theatre inside Singapore Marina Bay Sands Hotel complex. It is due to start on July 21st and will run until at least September 1st, however, if the show proved to be a success, there might be an extension for a couple of more weeks.

There is little doubt about the appeal on the crowds since Disney’s performance is renowned for its commitment to excellence both on screen and on stage and Aladdin is considered one of the best productions ever crafted yet!

The spectacular production boasts a cast of 34 actors, actresses and dancers. Visitors to the show can expect a line up of staggering numbers including 337 glittering outfits, 1,225 different fabrics, 712 styles of beads and almost 500,000 Swarovski crystals!

As for the technical aspect, there are 40 tonnes of exotic flying scenery and 60 tonnes of automation and staging equipment currently on their way to the City State on over 40 sea containers to bring the fantasy city of Agrabah, the colourful marketplace, the Sultan’s lush palace and the Cave of Wonders to life. The musical offers at least 84 amazing special effects during the two-and-a-half-hour performance to bring magical experience to the audience.

Aladdin is then an excellent opportunity not only to spend a couple of days in beautiful Singapore but also to immerse yourselves in the staggering Disney’s production and a stay at Marina Bay Sands. Prices start from S$68 + an additional S$4 fee. There is a daily performance between Tuesday to Friday and two performances per day on Saturday and Sunday.

Guests can also enjoy the famed 2,560 hotel rooms and suites with rooftop Sands SkyPark with integrating infinity pool, a shopping mall, world-class celebrity chef restaurants, an outdoor event plaza and the ArtScience Museum. Guests can book Marina Bay Sands’ Show and Dine packages where they can enjoy an array of discounts and exclusive dinner menus from its signature restaurants starting from S$100.
