Into the arts? Or dance? Head over to KIOSKcafe in Ekkamai tomorrow night for a special treat. French dancer Syv Bruzeau will be performing Butoh, the creative, self-exploring form of Japanese dance theatre, in a show titled Butoh: The Dance of Life PART: II.
If you’ve never seen it before, check out a stunning video of Bruzeau’s last performance here.
The artist discovered Butoh while in Japan and studied it in the Himalayas with Lee Rhizome. She also studied in New York City and Japan, mainly with luminaries Katsura Kan, Eiko and Koma, Natsu Nakajima, and Tetsuro Fukuhara. For Bruzeau, Butoh is a journey of self-discovery and healing.
