Has it really been only three years? Sometimes, it feels like Beervana has been around for decades. Practically every bistro, brasserie, bar, and burger joint serves bottles from Rogue and Deschutes—and, occasionally, deeper cuts, like Baird or Kagua—brought to Bangkok by Beervana.
Anyway, it’s been three years since Beervana, according to the owners, “was lucky enough to fire the first shot in Thailand’s craft beer revolution.” It’s as fitting an occasion as any to celebrate all things craft and delicious on Saturday, October 17, when Beervana presents Happy Beerday 3.
Held at the warehouse of Training Ground BKK on Sukhumvit 69, next to BTS Phra Khanong, Happy Beerday is a big thank-you to Bangkok’s craft beer supporters, so Beervana is offering free beer for guests, as well as extremely cheap prices on bottles and drafts.
There will be 8 beer stations; 5 food trucks, including names who don’t usually operate out of a truck; free tattoos (real, not temporary); and lots of Beervana gear up for grabs.
Beer will include styles from:
- Stone Brewing Company
- Deschutes Brewery
- Rogue Ales
- Epic Brewing Company
- Tuatara Brewery
- Baird Brewing Company
- Anderson Valley Brewing Company
- Nøgne Ø
Expect music, games, interactive beer activities, and some good old-fashioned beer appreciation, starting at 6pm and running until late in the night.
There won’t be any parking available, but you shouldn’t drive in any case, as beer and motor vehicles don’t mix. Plus, Training Ground is very close to the BTS.
Admission is free and open to those of legal drinking age, but is by RSVP only. Secure a spot by e-mailing [email protected] before midnight on October 16.
