Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok to host “Bonding with Love” charity afternoon tea to honour the Father of the Nation
To honour the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, in co-operation with the Caring Hearts for AIDS Foundation are hosting a “Bonding with Love” afternoon tea, fashion show, and art auction in the hotel’s ballroom on Friday December 8th 2017 from 2pm to 4pm.
Inspired by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s hobbies and talents, Executive Pastry Chef Claus Olsen has exquisitely created special sweet and savoury pastries for this special occasion.
The “Bonding with Love” Charity Afternoon Tea has a mixture of savoury items which include a range of sandwiches, pies and other interesting choices. Some of the delectable savoury and sweet items which reflect the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s hobbies and talents art the Royal Project Treasure Chest, a dessert representing the world-famous royal project in Chiang Mai Province. Dark edible soil, which is part of the dessert, refers to the richness and fertility that yield healthy crops grown in the area.
The “father-son-daughter” fashion show will feature by nine celebrities, including Khemanit “Pancake” Jamikorn and father; Somchai “Tao” Khemklad and daughters; Supakorn “Tok” Kitsuwan and daughter; Pharanyu “Tack” Rojanawuthitham and father; Fundee “Yai” Janyathanakorn and daughter; Nattee “Bob” Kosolpisit with daughter and sons; Techatorn “Putter” Jamikorn and daughter. A special performance by Rang Rockestra and Winai Panturak will follow the fashion show. Exclusively for the event, two acrylic paintings of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej by artist Jay Surasen, will also be auctioned.
Tickets are priced at B2,000 and B1,500. Proceeds will benefit Chalermprakiet 48 Pansa School under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
