Benjasiri Park, located next to EMQuartier and its sister venue, the Emporium, has been temporarily turned into a symphony of light, enhanced by a series of illuminated sculptures made by young Thai artists. “Bangkok Illuminations” adds a truly magical touch to the Thai capital during what are typically commercial Christmas celebrations.
When darkness settles over the park, the trees are at play, lit up with a lovely palette of colours, while glowing sculptures seem to float in the air. With cool weather in town, this is one of the most surprising places to enjoy the holiday season in Bangkok. Thumbs up, then, go to the EMQuartier management team, which found the right compromise between the spirit of Christmas, the arts, and commerce.
Strolling through the currently colourful Queen’s Park is an incredible experience, but it will only last until January 3. So act fast!
