Flowers speak a universal language. They are symbols of love, affection, and compassion for the people around you, gifts for a special someone, mementos for the departed.
Inspired by the beauty and meaning of flowers, “Rapeeleela” has created a series of paintings using a technique she has been practicing since she was young. Rendering her images in oil paints, she uses a palette knife to add texture to the flowers, giving them a sense of depth and dimension.
Her solo exhibition – “Flora Tell” by Rapeeleela – will be held from May 3-27 at People’s Gallery (Room P.1-2), on the second floor of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. The grand opening will be held on Tuesday, May 5, at 5pm.
