Bangkok’s popular street vendors and their fare in food stalls strewn around the open-air garden courtyard
This year’s World Gourmet Festival at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel will showcase the City of Angels’ enviable status for street food.
The selected range of snacks, soups, main courses and desserts at each stall will be iconic signature dishes that have made them an enduring and well-loved institution. Four of the total 9 vendors have made it to the Michelin Guide: ‘Ann Guay Tiew Kua Gai’ (chicken fried noodles), ‘Sawang Bami Kam Pu’ (noodles with crab), ‘Go-Ang Kaomunkai Pratunam’ (chicken rice) and ‘Elvis Suki’ (sukiyaki). Other stalls will be cooking up local favourites such as ‘Siri Salapao’ (buns), ‘Chor Leng’ (Stir fried rice noodle with water mimosa), ‘Bokkia Tha Din Daeng’ (steamed flour noodles with a mix of fruits and beans in syrup).
The Gourmet Street food fair takes place on Thursday 5 September 2019 at Parichart Court, 1st floor of Anantara Siam Bangkok hotel (BTS Ratchadamri) from 6pm to 8pm. Priced at B650++ per person, free flow beer is included. (Prices are subject to 10% service charge and 7% government tax.)
