HIDDEN GEMS: Somewhere Out There, Outdoor Concept Store

A couple fell in love with the outdoor adventure. They took the challenge of COVID-19 pandemic and turned it into an opportunity, made their favourite hobby and their joy of life into a trendy business of a concept store for all things outdoor.

The origin of this stylish concept store for all things outdoor started a decade ago when the couple – Ekasak ‘Jack’ Chuenchob and Sumalee ‘Liew’ Tangjitsin started to explore trekking and camping. They fell in love with the ‘close to nature’ travelling style. All the trekking and camping experiences created such joy and happiness for them like no other kind of travel can do.

When the COVID-19 pandemic started to shake the world, the couple has also been affected like everybody else. But there’s also an opportunity in it, such as a cheaper rent for the venue – a two-stories white house with a spacious outdoor front yard, the former product distributors quitted their businesses and etc.

“With all factors fell into places, we decided to open a small shop that is meticulous in choosing each product. We want each item we carry in the shop to meet the needs of travelling, hiking, and camping as efficiently as possible. So that every trip will be as fun and happy as possible for our customers”, Jack explained.

At Somewhere Out There, there are quality products with a variety of ranges to fit your budget.

The products at “Somewhere Out There” are carefully selected with the owners’ first-handed experience. “We want to pass on the joy we have found through our outdoor experiences to the others who are interested in trekking and quality camping. We thought the best way is to open a shop for hiking and camping gear. We can tell stories through the devices we have used ourselves. We want to share with our customers the story of how the equipment helps us achieve better quality outdoor living and travelling”, Jack added. Not only that the products are tested and tried by Jack and Liew, but they are also licensed and distributed through proper channels.

Jack and Liew also have another objective for their beloved hobby-turned-business. “We all have to make a living in a world of intense struggle. We would like to invite everyone to get out there and live closer to nature with stylish, and good quality equipment. Whether it is quality, price, or design, we have a variety of ranges to fit your budget. Let’s go out and have fun together. Somewhere out there.”
