Five Marriott International Hotels in Bangkok Welcome Five Michelin Star Guest Chefs from Italy
To celebrate the 11th Italian Cuisine & Wines World Summit, five Michelin-starred chefs are hosted from 9 to 12 October 2019. A Gala Dinner will be held at Rossini’s on the first day at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Bangkok. It will be a 10-hands dinner over a 5-course menu of each chef’s signatures, paired with Italian wines for B6,500 net.
Then the chefs will head to Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit, Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel, Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, and back to Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit; and last but not least The Athenee Hotel.
The chefs come from some of Italy’s finest Michelin starred restaurants, featuring food and wine producers as well as culinary experts. This event is known as one of the world’s biggest showcases of Italian cuisine, aiming to promote and inform consumers about Italian cuisine and ingredients.
It will be a week of fine dining that will reflect the diverse Italian food cultures from the distinctive regions such as Neapolitan, Sardinia, and Milan with local recipes and new generation approach with fresh and organic ingredients.
Chef Daniele Repetti from Nido del Picchio in Carpaneto Piacentino in northern Italy will cook at The District Grill Room & Bar steakhouse at Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit. His highlighted menu is Smoked Lamb Loin with Pepper Cream and Jerusalem Artichoke.
La Tavola at Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel will welcome Chef Domenico Stile, a prodigious talent and the youngest Michelin-starred chef in Rome from one-Michelin star Enoteca la Torre a Villa Laetitia. Chef Domenico’s menu will include Lemon Risotto with Razor Clam, Vongole, Buffalo Milk Yogurt and Asparagus.
At Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Chef Francesco Gasbarro will serve his cuisine at Giorgio’s overlooking the Chao Phraya river. Chef Francesco is the chef patron at La Bottega in Geneva and one of his dishes is Snapper or Hamachi fish with Bean Needle and Cacciucco Sauce.
Rossini’s, the Michelin Plate-awarded restaurant at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit will host Chef Tano Simonato from Tano Passami l’Olio in Milan. The signature Red Prawn Carpaccio, Caramelized Fine de Claire Oyster, Black Rice Crumble, Pistachios and Potatoes with Seawater Air will be offered.
At The Allium Bangkok, the brand-new restaurant at The Athenee Hotel, Chef Felice Lo Basso from the Felix Lo Basso Restaurant in Milan will craft Squid Ink Potato Gnocchi with Baby Squid Ragout and Sweet Garlic Cream.
Reservations for the Gala Dinner are available at B6,500 net per person. Launched at Rossini’s, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit on 9 October, all five chefs will cook.
During the week, the five chefs will also present signature lunch and dinner, wine pairings and an Italian Sunday brunch. “The Stars of Italy” menus start from B1,500++ for lunch and B2,500++ for dinner.
