As part of the Italian Festival in Thailand, food lovers are invited to enjoy a week of fine dining Italian style—November 20th to 26th
From November 20th until November 26th, 28 top Italian restaurants across Thailand will present a special menu (with and without Italian wine pairing) using original and high quality Italian products. On the occasion of this unique internatio nal culinary event—known collectively as Italian Cuisine Week 2017—guests will have the opportunity to taste genuine Italian flavours at renowned and selected Italian restaurants. The Bangkok restaurants involved are: Beccofino, Biscotti, Enoteca, Favola, Galleria Milano, Gianni Ristorante, Il Bolognese, Il Fumo, La Bottega, La Scala, Lenzi Tuscan Kitchen, L’Opera, Medici Kitchen & Bar, Opus, Prosecco, Rossini’s, Rosso di Sera, Sensi (pictured above), Sole Mio and Zanotti in Bangkok
In Phuket diners can enjoy Italian Cuisine Week at: Acqua, La Carbonara, Leo & Mas and Plum Prime Steakhouse. Elsewhere, diners can enjoy Italian Cuisine Week at: La Grappa and Mamma Mia! in Hua Hin; Fabio’s in Koh Pha Ngan; and Gian’s in Pattaya.
As part of Italian Cuisine Week 2017 there will also be a showcooking demonstration at Central Chidlom on Nov. 21 at 12:30pm, and the festivities will wind up with a gala dinner organized by Dusit Thani College on Nov. 25 at 7pm.
To launch the event, a special charity gala dinner, entitled The Taste of Music, will take place on November 15th, in the Ballroom of the Sheraton Grand Sukhumvit hotel. Italian tenor David Sotgiu and top Thai pianist Nat Yontararak together with Soprano Barbara Zion and Bromsgrove School Choir will be performing songs by Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, and others. The event will be presided over by the Ambassador of Italy to Thailand, and begins with cocktails and 6:30pm followed by dinner at 7pm (with free flow wine). Tickets start from B3,500 each for one diner, B6,500 for couples, and B25,600 for a table of eight. Every guest from the first six tables will receive a gold-plated silver pendant specially designed for this occasion by renowned Italian jeweller Casato.
