The Magners International Comedy Festival returns to Thailand for a second time—from March 23rd to 25th—bringing a fantastic line-up of international standup comics to Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, and Hua Hin. Sponsored by Mangers Irish Cider, the event is co-presented locally by The Comedy Club Bangkok. Come see comedians from the UK, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, India, Malaysia, and the USA. Scheduled performers include: the off-beat and outrageous Martin Mor, who tours with Frankie Boyle; Dana Alexander from Russell Howard’s ‘Good News’; Comedy Network comedian Lars Callieou, as well as Dan La Morte, Andre King, and Matthew Giffen.
The festival gets underway on Thursday, March 23rd with a special opening gala at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit’s rooftop bar Altitude (259 Sukhumvit Rd). VIP tickets are priced at B1,800, and include free flow Magners, Nordes Gin, and gourmet finger food. The same evening a show featuring India’s comic superstars will be held at The Comedy Club Bangkok (above The Royal Oak pub, Sukhumvit Soi 33/1). Both evenings kick off at 8:30pm.
While the rest of the Bangkok performances will be held at The Comedy Club, venues out of town include the Tavern by the Sea at The Amari Hotel in Pattaya, The Red Piano in Hua Hin, and Underwood Art Factory in Phuket. Tickets can be purchased via www.ComedyClubBangkok.com as well as at participating venues in every region. For more information, and the full lineup, visit www.comedyfest.asia.
