Celebrate this year’s Loy Krathong festival by the river, but without the crowds at the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok
Celebrated annually on the night of November’s full moon, Loy Krathong marks the ancient Thai tradition of honouring the Water Goddess. On lakes, canals and rivers throughout the country, people float small lotus-shaped vessels known as Krathong to ‘wash away’ their sins and ask for good luck in the coming year. This year the Loy Krathong celebration will take place on Friday, 3 November 2017.
Enjoy performances from traditional Thai folk musicians and dancers while savouring a delicious Thai market-style buffet with specialties from all over the country at Terrace Rim Naam. After dinner, float your Krathong in the River of Kings under the magnificent glow of the full moon. The dinner is priced at B4,500 for adults and B3,000 for children.
The BBQ Riverside Terrace is also offering guests alfresco dining with a beautiful view along with Thai cuisine and many other international dishes. The price for adults is B3,500 and B1,300 for children.
