Luca Appino, chef-partner at Vesper Cocktail Bar & Restaurant on Soi Convent, will be welcoming English master mixologists Tom Aske and Tristan Stephenson – ‘Directors of Fluid Movement’ and co-owners of the famed Worship Street Whistling Shop bar in London – to his establishment for two dazzling nights of gustatory delight. With the help of sponsor Diageo, on Monday 1st December Tom and Tristan will be demonstrating their mixology skills behind the bar at Vesper and then on Wednesday 3rd December they will be creating delicious cocktails to match each dish of a special 4-course dinner prepared by Chef Luca.
Dinner and drinks comprise an appetiser of crab meat and fennel salad with citronette dressing paired with a super dry Martini; a second course of open-faced ravioli with poached egg ‘Onore al Maestro’ paired with a ‘Let there be Peach’ cocktail mixed with Tanqueray gin, Créme de Pêche and Campari; a third course of slow-roasted duck breast with wine-orange sauce accompanied by a ‘Clouded Horizon’ cocktail mixed with Ron Zacapa rum, Picon Bier, IPA Syrup, D&B Bitters and liquorice foam; and a dessert of vanilla bean ice cream with fresh strawberry washed down by a ‘Drink 4’ cocktail mixed using Johnnie Walker Gold Label, Moscato, lemon, grapefruit bitters and strawberry.
