Riding on positive feedback from its launch last December, OSHA is celebrating its early success with a brand-new lunch set that highlights Thailand’s unrivalled street food culture. Called, fittingly enough, the “OSHA Thai Premium Street Food Lunch Set,” the package offers favourite ready-to-eat dishes with sophisticated presentation and premium flavours.
The set caters to those with limited lunchtime breaks, in particular those who work at the embassies and offices in the neighbourhood. Considering the quality of the ingredients (prawns, crab, Wagyu), prices are reasonable, starting at B285 per dish. Add B100 for an additional appetizer, another B100 for a dessert, and B50 for a cool pick-me-up, including lemongrass, pandanus leaf, or matoom (bael) iced tea.
Consisting of go-to lunch dishes from around the country, options include a delectable Pad Thai Goong Sod,featuring Chantaburi noodles—believed to be the best of their kind in Thailand—stir-fried with prawns, bean sprouts, and egg. Stronger tastes come through in Ka Nom Jeen Nam Ya Poo, a southern-style yellow curry with crab meat served with rice noodlesand assorted fresh vegetables. The smell of the curry is hard to resist, but don’t pour too much of it on your plate if you can’t handle the spiciness of the turmeric and chilli. The North is represented in Khao Soi Waygu, whose vibrant colours appear in the form of crispy egg noodles, pickledcucumber, cabbage, and purplish beetroot.
The set menu also offers Hainanese chicken rice, donein the restaurant’s own style with a signature sauce. Unlike typical Khao Mun Kai, this one is topped not only with slices of high-quality boiled chicken, but also crispy tempura-style cubes of chicken blood. Another recommended bite is Khao Na Ped Panang, which offers poultry fans tender duck confit in a piquant panang curry sauce on rice.
Top it all off with a heart-warming sweet treat, like O-Liang crème brûlée. This caffeinated custard is an impressive end to a ravishing set. It might even supplant the standard, and often necessary, post-lunch cup of joe before you head back to your work space.
The OSHA Thai Premium Street Food set is available from 11am to 2.30pm. For more information or to make a reservation, please contact 0 2256 6555 or email@example.com.
