From the 17th to the 26th of August, Oskar Bistro (24, Sukhumvit Soi 11) is launching its own farm-to-table initiative, entitled Made in Thailand. The restaurant has made it a mission to help build a sustainable food community in Thailand by working with local farmers and promoting the benefits of supporting locally-grown sustainable agriculture.
French Chef Julien Lavigne’s innovative menu balances simplicity and sophistication, reflecting Oskar’s signature French and Mediterranean creations using local ingredients in an artful manner. Menu highlights include: delicious blue swimming crab with French-style celeriac remoulade; tender char-grilled cuttlefish in tomato ragout with charred eggplant caviar; juicy free-range chicken with organic brown rice, Portobello mushrooms and a coffee-infused sauce; and a yummy rum-flambée banana tart with banana ice cream. All dishes are available in a 4-course set menu (B1,190), or à la carte.
