Upcoming festivals, seasonal events, and more
March (dates TBA)
Monsoon Valley Harvest Festival
Each year, during a weekend in March, wine enthusiasts and fans of fine dining descend upon Monsoon Valley for the vineyard’s annual Harvest Festival & Dinner. Guests are invited to join in on the experience of picking and harvesting the grape crops, and afterwards are treated to exclusive menus, prepared with finest ingredients, paired with Monsoon Valley’s white, red, and sparkling wines. There’s also live musical entertainment, and plenty of other surprises.
Hua Hin International Jazz Festival
In 2017 the Hua Hin International Jazz Festival brought to the city a baker’s dozen of top-notch musical talent to its Main Stage—including JazzKamikaze (pictured) from Denmark—as well as an array of more intimate performances to its adjacent Open Stage. So, it’s no surprise that expectations are high for the 2018 edition of this annual musical event, which once again takes place on the beach in front of the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin. The event is still free to all, but this year a third stage is being added to accommodate the wealth of musicians arriving for the festival. Check the website as the date approaches for updates on scheduled performances.
Hua Hin Marathon
Runners get ready for the upcoming Hua Hin Marathon, which takes place on Sunday May 13th. Registration info and other details and are still being finalized, but the date is set and the race day is expected to begin at 4am and conclude by noon. Expect a full marathon 42km run and a 21km half-marathon, as well as a 10km run, and a 5km run.
Centara Golf Championship
In just four years the Centara World Masters Golf Championship has become Asia’s biggest and most enjoyed tournament for everyday club golfers, and the event is sure to be a sellout again in 2018. For one week in June, golfers converge at Hua Hin for a week of golf, entertainment, and great fun. This year’s host courses include the Black Mountain Golf Club and the Banyan Golf Club, as well as the Imperial Lake View and the Springfield Royal golf clubs. Meanwhile, the iconic and luxurious Centara Hotel & Resort Hua Hin is the host hotel and event venue. The tournament is also Thailand’s richest, with US$30,000 in prizes and lucky draws to be won.
