For the festive season, Amanpuri’s palm-tree peninsula becomes a focus for gratitude and giving back to the Phuket community that has so graciously provided a home for the resort for the last three decades.
In the lobby pavilion, the team have decorated a Thai-style giving tree festooned with flowers, where guests can leave donations or gifts for the children supported by the local education charity Phuket Has Been Good to Us, or even sponsor a child’s schooling if they wish. This winter, guests will also enjoy daily turndown gifts made by and purchased from the Yaowawit Schools’ Trade for Education programme.

Amanpuri’s New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner commences with the tradition of Loy Krathong, establishing new hopes and priorities for the year ahead, and at the Giving Tree to support the education of children in need. Following these notions of gratitude, wander through The Pathway of Lights to the Gala Dinner location where a spectacular meal is served in a magical setting, inspired by dishes from around the world. As the midnight countdown nears, the resort’s iconic steps host an enchanting firework display to herald in 2021 before an after-party of DJs and dancing until sunrise.
