Paradee, a hidden heaven on Koh Samed, and also one of the seven unique beachside resorts of the Samed Resort Group, has just won the renowned World Luxury Award. In honour of this ultimate achievement in service excellence, the group recently held an exclusive celebration.
Attended by many celebrities, including the ambassador of Austria to Thailand, H.E. Mr. Enno Drofenik, and Mr Viktor Vavricka, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangkok, the party got underway with the sweet sounds of the Thai Double Bass Ensemble rising up from the beachfront bar.
“It’s such a great honour for Paradee to win this award. Tourists from some countries are not so familiar with Koh Samed, so this is really an opportunity for other exquisite resorts in Thailand to gain international recognition,” said Werasak Choonhajak, Director of Samet Resort Group, with a celebratory glass of champagne in hand.
Paradee Resort and Spa, located in Ao Kiew, faces both the eastern and western coastlines, and so guests enjoy the unique opportunity to enjoy breath-taking sunrises and sunsets. In particular, the Sunset Bar—venue for the celebration—turns the dusk sky into something worth waiting for, and it does the same for the rose-pink light of dawn in the morning.
The Paradee staff is well-groomed, giving discreet service. And diverse activities are available for the adventurous as well as the indulgent, such as spa treatments, kayaking, snorkelling—you name it.
Each of the 40 villas has a steep, thatched-roof design with vaulted ceilings and over 100-square-metres of lavish living space. Drawing influence from Moroccan and Balinese design elements, the interiors blend deeply soothing and soft natural hues with rich décor featuring traditional Thai teakwood, rattan, and silk, complementing the natural beauty of the lush jungle setting.
What’s more, each villa offers private outdoor living spaces with generous terraces and sun loungers. Most have the added exclusivity of a luxurious infinity-edged pool with its own Jacuzzi.
