Since the early 1900s, Sanpellegrino chose the table as its place, embracing the typical Italian passion for fine living and becoming itself synonymous with good taste and lifestyle. In celebration of its 120th year anniversary, S. Pellegrino has created a special diamond bottle to celebrate its 120th anniversary at the Regent Taipei on 9 January 2020.
S.Pellegrino has already given space to the female talents with the dedicated yearly award of World’s Best Female Chef. This anniversary celebration continues the topic on a bigger level, especially in Asia where women are still portrayed as a minor part in the hospitality industry. Meanwhile, Taiwan has nurtured one of the first local female talents to be discovered: Chef Lanshu Chen.
Hoping to eliminate the need for a separate women’s award in the future, S.Pellegrino is in the front line to equally promote both male and female talents that can elevate fine dining and give a different image of women in a professional context.
The event will be linked to Women in Gastronomy concept developed by Gastronauts Asia: a culinary gathering of the world’s leading women in the hospitality industry. The aim is to celebrate all women who make a difference in the culinary world, not only inviting them to share their talent and creativity but also asking them to share their encouraging stories.
For the special occasion this year, S.Pellegrino invites Four Best Female Chefs to Taiwan: Chef Ana Ros from Slovenia, Chef Margarita Forés from the Philippines, Chef May Chow from Hong Kong, and Chef Lan-Shu Chen from Taiwan. The celebration consists of two parts: Glamour Women of the Era Summit, inviting four chefs and Taiwanese F&B female talents to share “Her Generation”, and a Gala Dinner performed by Best Female Chefs in theme with the 120-year brand story of S.Pellegrino.
The venue will be at the Regent Hotel Taipei on 9 January 2020. As a leading five-star hotel in Taiwan dedicated to food, lifestyle, luxury and culture, it is also celebrating its 30th year anniversary. The full menu of Four Hands Dinner by World’s Best Female Chef Ana Roš and Asia’s Best Female Chef Lan-Shu Chen who is also born and bred in Taiwan will only be available for two days on 10-11 January 2020.
