If you haven’t heard of Dinner In The Sky, it’s a moving attraction in which a crane hoists a platform of 22 diners, two waitstaff, and one chef 50 metres into the sky to eat dinner—twice per night—in various cities around the world. It arrives in Bangkok this month (December 20th to be exact) and will be giving local foodies elevated dining experiences through to February (the exact final date is pending).
Diners will be hoisted above the glittering Phrom Phong neighbourhood, with the entrance being next to Dinosaur Planet. The 4-course meal lasts about one hour, and diners wear four-point seatbelts throughout. The food for the Bangkok engagement is being created by Chef Gaetano Palumbo of the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit hotel.
Dinners are scheduled for 6pm and 7:30pm daily, and the price tag is B4,990 on weekdays, and B5,390 on weekends (exclusive of alcohol but inclusive of free Uber rides to and from the venue).
