From October 2-4, one of the riverside’s leading boutique hotels, Riva Surya Bangkok, celebrates organic food and ingredients at The Annual Asian Organic Gourmet Festival.
The event will be headlined by a series of cooking demonstrations led by high-profile Asian chefs Sompong Suksuwan, Satawat Kunarasai, and Surasing Viratsakul, who will prepare three-course lunches and four-course dinners comprised of organic ingredients.
The festival also includes a farmers market on Saturday and Sunday, a discussion on nutrition and food, and daily activities, including healthy dessert-making and bread-baking demonstrations. The farmers market runs from 9am until 5pm each day, featuring over 30 stalls selling organic products.
In attracting health-conscious food-lovers to the river, the festival promises a one-of-a-kind experience, bridging gastronomy and education.
The cost to take part in the cooking demos, including a three-course organic lunch, coffee and tea, soft drinks, an apron, and a recipe book, is B1950 per person. The four-course dinners, including welcome drinks, soft drinks, free-flow organic wine, coffee, and tea, cost B2500. Afternoon activities and the farmers market are free of charge.
A portion of the proceeds go to FOOD4GOOD, which assists malnourished children living in Thailand.
