Vesper and il Fumo welcome one of the world’s top bartenders, Erik Lorincz, to Bangkok for two nights only, March 22 and 23.
Lorincz is best known as the head bartender of the American Bar at the Savoy in London, and he’s only the eleventh person to hold that position since the bar opened in 1903. In 2010, he won the Diageo World Class Bartender of the Year, and in 2015 the bar was number 5 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list. So Lorincz boasts a pretty rare pedigree, and now he brings his skills to Bangkok with the help of Diageo.
On March 22, Lorincz will take over the bar at Vesper, showcasing five of his preferred creations, including the Real McCoy (Bulleit Bourbon, Punt e Mes, Cynar, Angostura bitters, and coffee), Napoleon’s Wish (Johnnie Walker Gold, sweet vermouth, Calvados, Angostura bitters, soda, and borage cress), and the Green Park (Tanguerary no. 10, basil, celery bitters, lemon, egg white, and sugar). The event coincides with Vesper’s second anniversary, guaranteeing an exciting evening.
On March 23, Lorincz heads to the swish il Fumo, the stellar new Italian restaurant on Rama IV Road known for its char-grilled dishes and also the Hot Plate in our March issue, where he will offer signature creations with his trademark panache.
All drinks will be priced between B380-B450 for these two nights.
The nights will get busy. To RSVP, e-mail [email protected] or call 08 1620 8879.
