VIU at The St. Regis Bangkok is introducing a new ‘Lunch with a View’ menu and an interactive dining concept with eight live cooking stations. Inspired by the ‘Food from the Heart’ philosophy of Culinary Director Chef Matthew Woolford, the new lunch menu captures the true essence of each dish through the textures and tastes of the finest ingredients.
The interactive cooking stations at the restaurant perched high above Rajadamri Road bring culinary theatre to life, and guests are welcome to ask the chefs for details on food preparation as dishes are put together ‘a la minute’. At certain cooking stations, patrons can even ask the chefs to tweak dishes according to their personal taste preferences.
The eight live cooking stations at VIU are:
Fresh from the Oven
A selection of freshly baked warm breads straight from the wood fired oven, and delicious homemade soups, rich broths, and smooth bisques.
Composed Salad
Fresh garden greens and marinated vegetables tossed to order with a variety of dressings. Guests are welcome to create their own salad with the chef.
Cured, Iced and Sliced
Sushi, fresh cut Sashimi, and cured hams and spiced salamis to go with tapas and freshly baked bread.
Pasta
The specialty pasta corner offers tortellini, rigatoni and fettuccini prepared with the guest’s choice of homemade sauces and accompaniments.
Carved and Perfect Pairings
Beautiful whole roasted chickens, leg of lamb, or beef striploins prepared daily and paired with potatoes and roasted vegetables.
The Business Grill
Offering three grilled to order items from a choice of fresh seafood and imported meats, with a selection of condiments, dips and sauces.
Local Journey through the Region
